Is this the one based on The Thick Of It? Because I love the show, but was unsure how it would translate in a film.. but soon as though you gave it such a rave review lol

Yeah it is, many of the same characters. I've only seen what few episodes are online of The Thick Of It, but what I've seen I've loved. I also loved I'm Alan Partridge, which the same people made.

Saw Avatar in 3D a couple of weeks ago. Yes it's a complete rip off of about a million other things (I think I called it Fern Gully meets The Matrix), but the whole experience is amazing. That's a whole new filming technology. You have no idea what's CG and what's real for a large part of the film. My wife and I both had the basic ending worked out in the first 30 minutes, but it's still worth watching.

Coen boys are so cool. Annie Hall is my fave Woody Allen - have you seen Crimes and Misdemeanours? It's also excellent.

I'm not really a fan of 3D films lol, I guess with avatar it was good because its a whole like different world experience if you get what I mean but some of the other 3D films I just don't get the point.. Having said that I frequently almost had a heart attack during final destination 3d lol

I'm not really into 3d films either, but it really worked with Avatar. I almost can't imagine seeing it in 2d.
FOC, really? The wild tree structures and the flying mountains did it for me. One of the things that did bother me about Avatar was the way the different life forms were all designed to interface with the N'Avi.
It's still funny that it's the Marines vs. the Navy.

The trees weren't that different (also the animals), they seemed like rip-offs of the ones here on earth. Hmm... I had a realization while typing this and it is that when I say different world, I expect something similar to the works of Del Toro. Right now I feel like I should watch it again but not really (if that makes sense)
