One criticism I had of that episode in terms of the HR relationship (I know, I had a criticism! How strange is that, I must go lie down now...) is that it seemed that Harry was being too forceful towards Ruth, he was overtly saying how much he needed her and I didn't like that for some reason - I thought he should have continued with the subtle remarks. Am welcome to being persuaded on that one (My thought as I was watching it was that a memo had gone round the Kudos writers and someone had read the word "Subtle" and misinterpreted it. They did it really subtle/almost non-existently in some episodes, which was irritating because I do want them to get closer, and it was just too much this episode, it was a bit overkill for me.)

I thought that moment where he leaned on the desk was awesome. Maybe Harry is trying consciously to overcome his "limitations" after Ruth's invite? I didn't find it condescending or forceful, just caring. She genuinely looked distressed, and although it was an easy decision, it was not a comfortable one.

Not meaning to be disrespectful, but the resemblance of that ceremonial dagger to Wolverine's claws was startling. I almost expected that to be Ros' joke when she collared him the carpark.

I didn't mind the whole leaning on the desk talking to Ruth bit, it was more I thought it was a bit too overt.
I am actually feeling unusually hot at the moment (surprising as I'm sure it'll be like 5C outside,) so maybe I actually am coming down with something

And I loved getting another glimpse into Lucas' evangelical past, as established in 7.6.
Another drinking game line: Ros saying "let's cross that bridge when we come to it". Adam used to say that a great deal too.

I thought it was a really good ep - as people have said, Ashok was outstanding and everything seemed to go on what he did, just shows one person can make the difference, in telly anyway.
Lucas is a nutter now, definitely trying to make up for/get over Sarah, or something like.
Ros - she was brill in this episode, I loved her scene with the sanskrit translator, and the potato peeler line was classic!
Tariq - I think he's realised it's not all being cocky and fancy with technology. I wanted to give him a hug when he sat there looking so distraught. I think he's realised what it's all about now and it's maybe hit him a bit harder because he's the only non white-british person on the Grid now.
Well, I have only seen 7 so can't comment on H/R of the past, but I thought they were both sweet in this ep

Latif (Tariq) was really great in this episode. A layered performance given he didn't really have a whole heap to work with. His involvement with the kill reminded me a great deal of that discussion between Danny and Zoe in 3.5, discussing how they'd never actually pulled the trigger, but they had killed before.

Sadly, the finale doesn't air until the 23rd.
The actor's name is Ashley Kumar. One of the reasons he worked so well was his height and youthful looks. He brought such a lovely intelligence and humanity to this character.

Yeah, very big on The West Wing.
Also true for ethnicity (Serbia/Croatia), nationalistic impulses (Haiti/Dominican Republic) and political differences (North and South Korea, Sunni and Shia muslims).
What I find as dismaying as the ongoing conflicts in all these instances is that Nightingale has decided to use that aggression vis a vis Muslims and re-target it toward India, and more importantly away from the West. Basically, Nightingale is offering up new target in the "let them kill each other" vein. Very diabolical.
