I liked the Lord of the Rings trilogy, they were so well done. Is the directors cut worth the extra hour reviewing time?

I think it does, you get a lot of extra info about the characters (especially in The Fellowship) and the extended scenes help to tell the story even more elaborate. If you love the LotR you def. should see the extened version! Just grab yourself a big bowl of popcorn, or whatever you might like, and enjoy!! Smile

I love love love Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. Knight & Day, I really enjoyed but probably wouldn't call it a favourite.

I loved the A-Team movie! I was the only female in the cinema when I went to see it Big Grin

Most things with Angelina Jolie in I love.

My favourites probably would be;
Zoolander
Dodgeball
Tu£Sday
I.D
Charlie & the Chocolate Factory
Beauty & The Beast

Saw The King's Speech over the weekend.

Loved, loved, LOVED it. The Best Picture Oscar was well deserved.

Although, now I can't believe Geoffrey Rush didn't win as well. Both he and Colin Firth were fantastic.

Goodbye Mr Chips is one of the few films my entire family agrees upon. And most inside jokes we have seem to include the film too. Robert Donat is so wonderful in it - it's so sad he died so young, ridiculously talented guy who was also well liked. The 39 Steps is also one of my very favourite films, it always makes me laugh no matter how many times I have seen it.

I keep meaning to watch the 39 Steps adaptation with RPJ actually, this reminds me.

Lots of Fight Club fans here too. Well, berto and I at least.

The King's Speech is outstanding. I couldn't shut up about it for the last few months, my sister and I went to see it just before New Years and it's definitely on my fave film list now. Rush was also my pick for best supporting actor but Bale was good in The Fighter, also a good film. Personally I'm not a Bale fan, I think he's consistently outshone by better cast mates, but he did OK in this one.

Then I am sure that you are aware of the Pixar shorts? I think they are simply brilliant pieces of short animation. Almost better than any of the movies themselves. Maybe because they can be a bit more experimental with them. My kids love them as much as Mr AC and I do. My 7 year old daughter does a hilarious (if I do say so myself Smile) impersonation of the little girl in One Man Band. I adore Knick Knack. And Mater holds a special place in my little hick of a mid-western American red-neck heart. (The ghooooost liiiiiight!)

love pixar shorts love the alien one where its training and kidnaps the guy, really like bounding as well ;-0)

my geek fact about robert donat is that he is fox mulders grandson (ok ok, the guy who is mulders father was donats son ;-)

My favorite films are as follows:
Inception
Hotel Rwanda
Schindler's List
The Bourne Trilogy (not sure if I'll like the 4th one. It hasn't come out yet, but from what I heard I'm already having my qualms with it. I'll still watch it though).
Blood Diamond
The Godfather (First one)

There are probably more, but those are the ones that came off the top of my head. They're also movies I would watch again.
