Awww....I'm sorry to hear that. It will get better and easier for both of you. Next thing you know, they get upset that they are NOT going to school! It just takes time for them to acclimate. RE: Status 2.0 - Beatriz - 09-09-2010 03:10 PM (09-09-2010 12:54 PM)bertowud Wrote: YFM, could you come by my house for a visit? I think bertowud status should be: remembering Spanish lessons RE: Status 2.0 - bertowud - 09-09-2010 03:13 PM Or halfway crappily remembering Spanish lessons. Puedo ir al bano? That was the most frequently spoken sentence in my Spanish class in high school. RE: Status 2.0 - tyme4t - 09-09-2010 05:56 PM ...half jokingly checking out airfares to London so I can go watch a tv show....in 11 days & 3ish hours RE: Status 2.0 - A Cousin - 11-09-2010 02:17 PM It is an absolutely beautiful day here in the New York City area: 75F with clear blue skies, the perfect day for soccer/football games, gardening, BBQ's and bike rides. It is so like that September 11th, it makes those of us who live here a bit jumpy. You can't keep your eyes off the sky. RE: Status 2.0 - tyme4t - 12-09-2010 01:34 PM ...excited that I only need 110 posts until my next promotion! ...otherwise I am cleaning, grocery shopping, laundering, and prepping for the week ahead (with a few visits to SF in between!) RE: Status 2.0 - bertowud - 12-09-2010 01:41 PM I still remember where I was when the planes crashed into the towers. I was doing some work for the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) of Florida. It was pretty bizarre. There were reports of planes flying into buildings all over the place. Lots of confusion. The TV apparently had better info than the radio stations. The thing was I was freaking out on the inside and couldn't do anything about it. I had to finish my work before I could let any of that out. |
