) And it's a great idea!! One friend of mine organised one (80s themed) and was gorgeous, with food we used to eat at that time (candy mostly) and all dress for the ocasion, even I backcombed my hair, wore red nylons,... it was great 
And the music was awesome too!! I love 80's music (perhaps because I was born in that decade

No, usually club work. So not really exciting. Some of the people I've worked with get drunk while they're working and I usually ended up cleaning up after them. This year I'll be working too, but for the paper, so slightly more civilised.
I think my family tries to do too much on Christmas Day, with no or little alcohol in the heat. It's a little house with a lot of people. Also why I volunteer at a homeless man's shelter until the evening when I see them all at my godmother's.

Heh! Still, it's a tradition. Everybody in my family goes to bed and I watch the show. It started when I was 8.
Last night, my son (almost 3) opened my daughter's (almost 6) My Little Pony Advent Calendar. The solution was we gave her all of her My Little Pony toys and she now gets the rest of the ones in his Playmobil Advent Calendar.

Erm, no, I am a Catholic. Church on Christmas Eve
(I'm in charge of organising it - really bad. I seriously hope that the other people who I normally serve with come.)Christmas at my new school is seriously fun. We've decorated the common rooms with tinsel over each door, there are hand made paper snow flakes stuck on the windows, a mini christmas tree on the window sill and baubles hanging from the pipes, and Christmas tunes nearly all of lunch/break/the time before school. Seriously amazing
The girls in my Maths class are trying to persuade our more lenient Maths teacher to let us have a "maths" christmas party, although I'm looking forward to seeing if that's allowed (actually just had a brainwave about that We could watch a seriously depressing Maths dvd! Will have to go search for the DVD now...) The end of term at school is always busy - I have a Chemistry trip, then by that point it's the last couple of days so we have a carol service () and the common room challenge! (Every term we have a challenge between the year 12 and the year 13 common rooms. This term it's hulahooping Oh dear. Hopefully it will be a laugh though.) (That better JHyde? )

I hope that you're not saying Mariah Carey is awful...
I personally can't stand the 'traditional' music just because normally it's too religious and not as up-beat as the modern songs. I like Christmas songs that you can blast out of your computer and sing along to. Works well with "Do they know it's Christmas," and "All I want for Christmas (is you)" but not quite as well for "Silent Night."
