Ok, hope I can get this right and it won't be too long... Series South Riding Spoiler: show RE: Peter Firth - Tea Lady - 15-01-2011 01:50 PM Forgot to say in previous post that I have now watched "Tree of Hands" and I have started watching "Burndown." OMG, they are seriously bad films. I don't like Peter's character in "Tree of Hands" at all and the pony-tail doesn't help. As for "Burndown"....my goodness! How did it get made? It's pure "cheese." ![]() ![]() RE: Peter Firth - A Cousin - 15-01-2011 02:24 PM *chuckle*, TL.... I was watching the extras for S3 last night for the first time. In them PF mentions that he had actively avoided serialized popular TV because it tends to typecast an actor into one kind of role. He said he preferred instead what I think he called "challenging" pieces to quote, "which usually means no one has seen them." This would explain why he and his roles are usually very interesting but the overall pieces...ummm...aren't so much. Ah okay, thanks for that, as I'm not sure whether we'll ever see South Riding here. RE: Peter Firth - loladom - 15-01-2011 09:28 PM If the DVD is released as listed on 14th Feb and it runs for 3 weeks then it must air sometime during the week on Jan 24th. SO not long now ![]() RE: Peter Firth - Tea Lady - 15-01-2011 11:32 PM DogSoSmall, I have tried to send you a PM about Birdsong but it says your messaging is disabled. PM me if you want to. So snuggly. ![]() RE: Peter Firth - Beatriz - 16-01-2011 11:15 AM (16-01-2011 01:04 AM)DogSoSmall Wrote: Thanks so much, Tea Lady! I have absolutely no idea how to un-disable my messaging!Opening an off-topic bracket: To enable your PMs you must go to UserCP, on the menu on the left you click "Edit Options" under "Your profile" menu. Once there under the Messaging and Notifications you must enable "Receive private messages from other users". And there you go! Hope that helps. Closing off-topic bracket. RE: Peter Firth - DogSoSmall - 16-01-2011 07:36 PM Thanks Beatriz ![]() RE: Peter Firth - YoungHarryFan - 20-01-2011 01:19 PM For anyone looking forward to South Riding, have just found out that the DVD release date has now been delayed until the 7th March. So just guessing, I wonder if it will start on Sunday 20th February and run for 3 weeks. Resisting the temptation to start reading the book at the moment! |
