The dry cleaners are especially accurate this time to have the gold tie ready for the exact moment Cool it will surely be worn on a very special occasion

Nothing in TV weekly today about the air date, it says there will be something next week, so there should definatly be an air date by then will the BBC be the first the release the official air date via the Press Office/BBC schedule site? Smile

No one is thick enough to put it up against Downton.

States Week 38 between 17th-23rd, so that narrows it down. Sun 18th would be silly against Downton as people are saying. It's getting closer folks!

This says it airs on the 18th as well, however the actual Schedule page on the website for the 18th says "To be announced" Wink

the slot open on the 22nd also says "To be announced"

The BBC still haven't confirmed it either Wink

The Queen's Palaces scheduled for Monday 12 at 9.00p.m. is listed as NEW and described as 1 of 3 so we can assume it will continue in that slot.

That leaves either Sun 18th or Thursday 22nd for Spooks.

I would have been concerned about a Sunday night if another Series had depended on ratings although I believe the programme deserves better than to be matched against Downton Abbey which is one of the most highly rated dramas on TV.

With Torchwood ending Thursday would be my preferred choice since DCI Banks is slotted for Friday nights on ITV which always tries to put up the biggest hitter they can against Spooks.

News on twitter is that Crimewatch is on Thursday, which would mean Spooks def on Sunday...feel a bit cross with the BBC, I know people will record/watch on iplayer but it feels like they dont care how many watch...Downtown Abbey was made for Sunday night, in my opinion Spooks is not!

Bugger that sucks. Maybe they had no choice? But really! Spooks is a weekday drama not a sunday one. don't they want spooks to get good ratings or are they just throwing it anywhere coz its the last one? Seems a bit counter productive if that is the real air date.

It sure is looking as though the BBC has decided that Spooks is worthy of the prime slot of the week and will start it on Sep 18.

This has got to be seen as a positive piece of news. I'm surprised that they are pitching it against Downton Abbey, but maybe they are right to, as it is such a good show. I would have watched Downton ahead of anything else the BBC had screened, but now that Spooks is the other choice, I for one will record it (DA) and watch it later in the week. I can't be the only one, so that means that Downton Abbey's figures will be affected.
