I quite love Silk to be honest.

It might have something to do with the fact the fact that Martha is played by Maxine Peake.

(That and it also happens that the main character has my name... I'm a sucker for those sort of things). Blush

Believe it or not I was introduced to Silk on Tuesday when one of my Religious studies teachers decided it was relevant and we sat and watched the first episode in class. Best lesson in ages! Tongue

Love the idea of teachers recommending TV programmes to watch and then watching in class!!
But I don't think Silk is using RPJ to his full ability.

How is Silk relevant to RS lessons?? Tongue

Apparently the Media studies used Spooks as an example of split-screen scenes a couple of days ago. Darn it all, why didn't I take that subject?! Wink

To be fair my other RS teacher has used an episode of Spooks in one of his lessons. Cool
(My teachers have taste Tongue)

On topic, the spooks clip was of RPJ too. Big Grin

Sorry if I'm late with this but I just saw Witchapel season 1 and 2 on national tv here in Belgium (we don't have ITV here) and I quite liked it, I do think that the somewhat detached but loyal DI Chandler was a good role for RPJ; though I couldn't help thinking how Adam would react to the events Blush I felt like RPJ was holding back a bit, but the character probably asked that of him. (I liked Phil Davies and Steve Pemberton (loved The League of Gentlemen) too.)

Fortunately for him this is open only to UK residents. I'll just have to be happy with my Sponge Bob ukelele and the ice cream. Cool

I saw this and, frankly, it kind of skeeves me out a bit. Confused Bless him but I am not sure I'd want to go out with the husband of Mercy Hartigan. Wink

You're not the only one. What sort of weird contest sets up a guy who's taken? And how the hell did RPJ agree to do something so dense?

Let's add Jimmy Nesbitt to the weird list too, according to the article. And I really like these guys.

Its not as crass as it sounds. The winner gets to take 3 friends with him/her on this "date", and I'm sure RPJ/BC/JN will be accompanied by publicists etc. In addition to being taken out to dinner, the winner and his/her friends also get a two night stay at a luxury hotel in London, spend a day at a spa and other goodies. I will only eat Haagan Dazs Strawberry ice cream, so its off to the supermarket I go, in search of tubs with the promotional code printed on the bottom. Yahoo

Its not the "date" with a married man thing that skeeves me, because I know its not a "date". It's the unknown quantity for him and the what the hell does one talk about for the duration? But if you can bring friends, that sounds much better. Hopefully, he can too. I still feel a bit sorry for him though. He will be getting the third degree re: his career, private life, etc. and hopefully he will be lucky enough to get a fan who isn't too obsessed with him. I hope he is getting paid very well to do it. The man does have a family to support. If it were me, I'd donate the fee to charity.
