Yes but Adam ended up the same as Tom lol.
I thought Adam's introduction to the show was good.. with the tramp thing. But when he got to the grid it was like "Hi i'm Adam, i'm amazing, you'll love me, I have a gorgeous wife, look how dashing I am.. blah blah".
It felt arrogant.

Lol, true! But I felt Adam's angst was better earned than Tom's. After all, his wife did die in his arms after being gunned down. Also, I never got the impression that Adam's breakdown had anything to do with him questioning the worth of the work he was doing, as Tom did in seasons 2 and 3.

Definitely Ros, and Ruth's definitely was way to awkward. I can't watch anything awkward without leaving the room, so definitely not a good intro for me, having only been able to watch it in full once...

I actually enjoyed Ruth's introduction. For once we got a spook that was clumsy and awkward, I liked the fact that she was so different from the rest of the team. Also, Harry's terrible joke and then the way both he and Zoe attempted to impress Ruth during that first briefing was funny. And to me, when Ruth said "Bugger the Home Office", and Harry looked at her with that little smile and replied "If only", was probably when Harry realised she was a woman after his own heart.

I really liked Lucas' introduction, as it brought with it the whole storyline...and lots of little bits of nostalgia.....e.g. when Lucas asked "how did Tom Quinn work out?"
They did a great job of peering back through the series......

Yes, Lucas's intro definitely added some nostalgia. It was quite nice to have people returning, to have a bit of the past added into Spooks... if that makes sense.

I can't believe no-one mentioned Connie!
For me she was hands down the best write-in. One of Neil Cross' best efforts. However the character turned out, surely you couldn't be cold in the face of that intro. With the gun cocked and breath spray, dissing Malcolm's ex, and telling Harry that to his agents he is "the still point of the turning world". And the "mad old fool" waltzes off to Downing St and gets what they need and clears her own name at the same time! Neil Cross likes to talk monkeys: "A monkey could do that, Malcolm."

I forgot about her too :O Obviously her betrayal removed her, in my mind, from my list of characters who had been in Spooks. And she did have a brilliant intro, plus she had some pretty good oneliners.
