thankyou Silktie, you are absolutely 'spot on' in your summation of Harry & Ruth. The understated way it was played out was not only delightful...if sad, but so memorable because of the way it was done.

Sometimes I think Harry wants to spend more time in the field.
I got the feeling that writers changed their mind about how Ruth would play throughout this series, it seemed at first that she would be this mole who would be devious etc.. then they switched her to this loyal trait..
Anyone else think so?

Do you mean just in series 5 or as a character progression from seasons 2 through to 5?

I meant through from seasons 2 to 5.. sorry should have been more clear...
In fact, she's gone back to being that Ruth in season 2.. with her attacking people and whatnot.

Harry and Ruth is something thats been bubbling since she arrived, i get the impression there was something between them before! but also that they both want it but cant bring themself to do anything about it! i actualy really missed her in S5 and S6 i hope she comes back. i love how she interacts with adam as well!
