Some info from the production companies website and photo. Not sure how new the photo is, but it's nice all the same. Wink

Nice find, Tea Lady! Thanks for posting. I do like that picture and the rather devilish/mischievous look. Wink

Great find, thanks for posting. Agreed that pic is devilish. Wink He does ruthless so well.

Sounds like a meaty part (I haven't read the book) I do so hope he gets some decent screen time as he must've been heavily cut in last year's South Riding.

What a fun year for him, Spooks filming, little jaunt around the Balearics then on to Hungry and Austria for filming.

All he needs now is a recall in early 2012 for Spooks 11......

Great find.....I am reading the book online & don't have a lot of hope for Peter's role sadly

Damn, Peter looks sexy in that pic!

I do like a mean and moody Peter. Maybe it'll be like Robin Hood where every red blooded female fell for RA's Guy rather than wet and wimpy Robin Hood. Mind you, I think PF's days as the romantic hero are numbered (in the eyes of film producers, not his fans), so they really do have to make the most of these talents in Spooks while they still can!

Hah, I wonder if he sends them that photo whenever he's trying for the bad guy part in any production...

Most actors do indeed have two (or three) different head-shots for that very reason. There's the openly accessible "I'm-your-best-friend-so-you-can-trust-me" commercial/advert shot and the intensely serious "I-am-a-respected-actor-with-years of-experience-under my-belt" dramatic shot.

It's a great head-shot. It looks like him (you'd be surprised how many don't), his eyes are very animated and the purpose of the shot is clear.

I thought it interesting that Cynthia Nixon is the only one with a color head-shot. That's the big thing in the US right now. Looks as if b&w is still the thing in the UK.

So...got "World without end“ on Friday and made it through a good third of the book until today. (Had some time to kill between starts on a swimming competition – very good for reading!!)
I think it surely is an entertaining read. Quite easy and engaging, however Ken Follett’s characters always are a little one-dimensional. The good ones are truly good and even in case they make some mistakes they will be led back to the right path and the bad ones are just that, moody, bad-tempered or mischievous.

Considering that a film adaptation of a book mostly always condenses the original and therefore often simplifies in order to make characters even more recognisable and their features more typical I fear that there will not be so very much space for the actors (not only Peter) to fill their roles with much diversification or subtle character development. And I like having some subtlety in the things I watch...

As for the amount of screentime I think Peter has one of the minor major roles so maybe he will not be in so many scenes but then again some of them are some key points of the story which cannot be easily left out.

And we should at least get a "wet costume" scene although not in a romantic Darcy manner Wink
