Harry/Ruth fanfic search - Angie - 23-03-2011 09:15 PM
Does anyone know the name of the Harry/Ruth fanfic where Harry picks Ruth up on the way to his daughters wedding but they never make it because 2 men are holding them at Ruth's house? They think Ruth knows information which she doesn't but at the end Harry is beaten up and takes a bullet for Ruth and he is lying in her arms. There was also a sequel where he is ok but they go to see his daughter to explain why he missed the wedding.
Anyone remember the story?

Yeah, I remember that one, but I can't think of what its called. Maybe try searching ff.net, but only putting Harry and Ruth as the characters in your search, that way you don't have to scroll through all of the stories on ff.net, only the H/R ones. Hope you find it

Unfortunately I haven't found it. I've searched through ff.net but I think it was written by an author who has closed their account and removed their stories. Its such a shame because it was a really good story, well written, and original. At least it gave me a good excuse to trawl through loads more stories on FF.net (as if I needed another excuse.....
)

Where do you find the MI5 Spooks fanfic? I would definitely love to write something but I think I would be spotty on the vernacular being American. I have written some cyberpunk spy stories in the past and I would love to take a crack at writing something for MI5. I have a huge following for my stories but I've never tried to publish anything. Maybe I could write some stuff as a backdrop of what the American CIA was doing while the MI5 stories were going on, people might read that.
Anyone with a link I could use to find some stories would be appreciated.

Hopefully this will open up at the Spooks thread but on this site is called MI5/Spooks. If you want to read all stories regardless of rating then change the Rating option to 'All'
Please don't be put off writing any Spooks fanfic - there are lots of American writers and a good story is a good story

There are some great Spooks stories on fanfic. But IMO Silktie's stories on this forum are up there with the very best I've read.

How true! Silktie's stories are the best. It is a pity that the s10 writers did not follow Silktie's scripts. We would have had a very satisfying conclusion to Spooks.
I am still hoping mad at the pitiful ending (Ruth dead; Harry supposed to go on protecting Britain after his errors of judgment over the last two series) that Kudos gave us.
