Zoe and Danny - Tranquility - 04-09-2009 10:35 PM

What did you think? I felt so bad for poor Danny. I sometimes got the impression that Zoe was leading him on, then dropping him. I'm sorry that nothing ever came of it either, I liked the idea of the pairing. I also loved their very honest friendship, you rarely see that in Spooks. It ended so unfinished, I wanted to know more!!

Maybe because I am used to american tv and all that is wrong with it, but I like the fact that spooks doesnt shy away from couples from different racial/ethnic backgrounds. If they did this in the USA, nasty letters would have been written to the show. Sad, but that's how it is here
Anyway, having said that, I liked zoe and danny together.....

It's less of an issue in American TV now. I still remember the big huff over The Jeffersons.

Well, now I think it is a matter of you see more white female/black male match ups versus black female/white male couples on television. Still think television has a way to go in that regard

I loved Zoe and Danny together and would have loved to have seen them get together as a couple but I think Zoe knew that it would have been wrong to take it to the next level, they had a very strong friendship and could rely on each other 100% and any kind of sexual relationship could have jeopardised what they had. Zoe loved Danny but just not in the way he loved her back.

I didn't really like the whole Danny/Zoe thing during Series 3. I wished they didn't write for Danny to have feelings for Zoe, as it kind of ruined what they had built up between them - they should have just sustained the strong friendship they had and Danny should have got with Sam instead! Big Grin

Several ideas here for fan fiction?
I liked the strong friendship Danny and Zoe had as well...however with the nature of the work I suppose that M15 usually have relationships within the family so to speak?

Yes whatever happened to Danny and Sam, it sort of just fizzled out I really thought that was going somewhere, she is quite a pretty girl. In fact she doesn't seem to be so prominent in series 3 so far (only seen two episodes at the moment), I thought that when they brought her in it would give scope for another character to be developed.

I didnt see the danny/zoe thing as being more than friends! or at best unrequited on Dannys part. that said the ending in that room where he begs her to go, it just gut wrenching.
