Like it when he stands up to bullying. For example, any comment/action from Richard Dolby and the few times he stands up to the Home Secretary -
Spoiler: show
about the assassination attempt on Section D and downgrading the threat level
.

RE: Sir Harry Pearce - Tea Lady - 15-10-2009 01:14 PM

oh yes loved it when in 7.8
Spoiler: show
the HS had just given the evacuation order and the alarm was sounding in the Home Office. The HS though remained seated at his desk and taps his fingers on the table and utters "come on Harry." Like the future of the whole country and maybe the world depends on Harry

I like the fact he won't be pushed around by politicians, he always does what he think is right not what will win votes. Can't think of any specific examples but I sure you all know what I mean.

I like that Harry throws temper tantrums, for instance by swiping all the files off his desk or smashing his Led Zeppelin tape to pieces with the butt of a gun.

I love it when he's in love, and looks so uncertain, just another side to his personality that is rarely seen.

RE: Sir Harry Pearce - Tea Lady - 17-10-2009 11:08 AM

I love him in:

6.2 wearing that black shirt with the top buttons undone
6.3
Spoiler: show
when the shrink asks him what he is missing and he replies "something....someone"
6.8 wearing that black jacket in hand cuffs and sporting a black eye

RE: Sir Harry Pearce - almh - 17-10-2009 12:04 PM

Definitely 6.3!!!!

RE: Sir Harry Pearce - Beatriz - 17-10-2009 12:26 PM

6.2 hahaha sexy

In 3.04 when he gets emotional with his daughter

I love when he says "I made myself clear?" (Correct me if the grammar is wrong Blush)

RE: Sir Harry Pearce - Silktie - 18-10-2009 03:55 PM

I love the way Harry laughs, although I can remember only three instances where Harry actually laughed:
When he made that lame joke on Ruth's arrival
At the end of the EERIE exercise when he saw Zoe's reaction
At the end of 3.9 when he was talking to Ruth after not getting the DG post.

Here's hoping Harry will have more occasion to laugh in season 8.

So,
Spoiler: show
Harry lives, thank God! I wonder, though, if we will see any emotional fall-out from this traumatic experience.
In my opinion it would be very unrealistic if we didn't see anything like that.

Also wanted to give props to Peter Firth for a fantastic performance in episode 8.1.
