At least they're getting back to a certain level of comfort with each other. In 8.6 we had Ruth once again so anxious to convey her information to Harry that she garbles the words and he has to tell her to take a breath and tell him in one sentence, as well as some wordless communication. When she is in his office and Lucas comes in, Harry only has to give her a slight nod and she knows to leave so that he can talk with Lucas.
How sweet was the 'do you want to get a drink' scene. Harry's slight hesitation was probably him trying not to come over as over-eager and promptly scaring her off again. But it is definitely a signal from Ruth that she is still interested. And at least he got to accept before they got interrupted, so at least she knows he's still willing as well. Progress!

I absolutely loved that moment in the office. That "ohmygod is she actually asking me that....wait a beat"......."yes Ruth, I think.....".
I just marvel at these two. They're such a wonderful example of brilliant chemistry striking in the oddest of places. Look at what they've become! Such beautiful, understated acting between two actors who like and trust each other. We're very lucky

Yes, in less skilled hands this scene wouldn't even have rated a 3 on the OMG scale. PF and NW do seem to instinctively find all the "little" moments and exploit them for all they're worth. Also loved H's raised eyebrow when gesturing for R to leave him alone with Lucas. They've developed a very intimate shorthand with each other, in the same vein as some couples who finish each other's sentences. And interestingly enough, without even needing to call attention to itself, the new more confident Ruth has moved the relationship to one of equals.

Harry when he's dismissive is so funny. It's the only real time he's sarcastic actually, as in "Shall we crack on?" style.
I love that Ruth has opened up again, caring for those around her and bubbling when she's strikes gold or when she's frightened. Augurs well.
