Now that you've said it, Silktie, it makes much sense that they were for that drink in the end, and "knowing" that, you understand they behaviour. I'd have loved to watch it though
(but coming to think about it, it was better we didn't actually see them, sometimes is good to leave things to the imagination

Yes I was thinking that to. Did they go for that drink? It would explain how they were with each other in this episode. Then again couldn't the writers have put in a sentence or two to have let us known this? I hope that they are not going to continue the majority of the H/R relationship off screen and we will just get the tail end bits. We have watched their relationship grow slowly over many years and I dont want to be cheated of major bits. I can live without the bits that fill in the gaps like this drink though, if we get the rest. I really think the pace of this series means that H/R have been squeezed out a little. There really has not been enough time for them. I almost wish the final episode was an hour and a half long so we get some time for them.
Forgot to add, why is Harry still not being very physical with Ruth? She is making all the moves now and he seems to be frozen when she does anything. Is he scared?

I think he is - I think he's scared of losing her again. He's lost her once, twice if you count the refused date, and I don't think he's prepared to lose her again by acting too boldly.

Remember it's been a very long time since Harry was with anyone as far as we know. It's very hard to get back into it after years away, especially with someone you're really into.

Good point. We do of course know that he hasn't really had a relationship since his wife and brief affair with Juliet from, my favourite book, which I shall continue to plug relentlessly, HARRY'S DIARY!!! lol. And of course, buy it from Spooks Forum Amazon if you have not already got it

I wondered if there was something initially between him and Maria Orachevsky, that woman who dies in 7.7. But I don't think they would have had a fling, it would have made her too vulnerable and too easy to trace.
We almost need a spin off show with these two.

He doesn't mention it in the diary, therefore it never happened! (We ignore that it was written during series 5 so they didn't know what would be in series 7...)

Interesting you should say that JHyde. I thought that the other day when I watched 7.7 on Watch TV in the UK. Lucas gives her the ring and says sorry on behalf of Harry. There's then a conversation in Russian and Lucas then says something like "everything is forgiven when you love someone." Perhaps we need someone who speaks Russian to translate that bit??
