I don't think it was akward, they were very nervous, and they are not very good at chating... Surely there wasn't a good night kiss... lol they are so "weirdos" that I love them, they are two of a kind!!

Harry and Ruth belong together because they do for each other what each won't do for her/himself --they allow themselves to open up, no matter how awkwardly or hesitently. Even their shared pain is something they have together.

I just think Harry & Ruth 'fit together' so wonderfully, they are both kind of the odd man out , neither good looking & they just seem to be perfect partners.

Sorry Fidget I disagree completely. Harry has a legion of female fans. I cant stop looking at my new Avatar photo of him ! As for Ruth she is gorgeous too and I think has improved with age, certainly since series 2.

Asides from whether or not you think they are pretty or not, I think everyone is in agreement that they do make a pretty good couple.

The idea of describing Peter Firth as "pretty" makes me laugh.
They're not stereotypically "beautiful" but I find them both very attractive, they both have beautiful eyes.
It's funny that so many characters I identifu with on TV are in great shape professionally, but have trouble putting together personal relationships. In Harry's case, it's pretty funny because he was quite the lad in the day, but he really doesn't hurry into things with Ruth. I just want to see them gently move towards something substantial.

I find Harry very attractive. I think his intelligence, his style just adds to his attractiveness. For some reason, I am drawn to his mouth. I just love the way he holds it after he has said something important. Weird I know, but it attracts me nonetheless.
This being said, not being able to follow the series regularly from the states, I must admit I had to google Nicola's character Ruth. When I first did, the photos were atrocious and I wasn't sure what the draw was (on Harry's end), then I started searching for videos with the two characters and just fell absolutely in love with their chemistry and the awkward pauses between them. I really hope that they bring these two together (finally) and that neither of them gets killed off or leaves for any reason soon.

God, after our lovefest over Peter the boys won't be coming back to this thread!
To be honest, I think these guys need something big to push them into being into a relationship. Maybe one of them being put in serious danger sometime soon? It's Spooks, it's bound to happen soon. Or maybe the death of another colleague to make them seize the day?
