Is it possible to buy Nicola's play (like on digital theater ) because I don't live in England and I would love to see her plays.

RE: [spoilers] Nicola Walker - pepelow - 07-02-2012 01:37 AM

Not as far as I am aware at the moment. The only plays which one can buy/download and keep are those available on Digitaltheatre.com. I live in hope that one day, one of Nicola's plays will join the playlist there. You can always buy the play-text of plays Nicola has been in, if you want to find out more about the plays themselves.

Nicola will be back on stage this Autumn, in an adaptation of the acclaimed novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. Information relating to this play is available in the April to September 2012 season brochure which is now up on the National Theatre website.

The dates run from 27 July 2012 to 12 September 2012. Depending on where you are on the NT's membership ladder, you can book tickets starting from 2 April 2012. Seating in the Cottesloe Theatre is limited, so I would suggest that you get your tickets early, if you are at all interested in going to this play.

Correction re booking dates for Nicola's new play. (Sorry about this, was misled by the NT in response to a previous query.)

Whilst you can book tickets for any other play in the April to September season as from 2 April 2012 (depending on where you stand on the NT's membership ladder), tickets for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time will only go on sale from 30 April 2012 to those highest on the membership ladder, and to the general public on 4 May 2012. The NT says this is because the Company have not started rehearsals yet and have not finalised seating arrangements.

The play now has its own webpage on the National Theatre's website. Bookmark it for future reference.

I just listened and this was really good. I especially liked that it was Nicola with Rupert Graves, whom I adore. It is spooky but I kinda like that sort of stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Glad you enjoyed the show, SweetTea. All of the cast did a brilliant job, I thought. Listening to it again this year, I was struck by how effective Rupert Graves's delivery of his lines was, for an audio only performance. Of course, Nicola in sarcastic mode is always hugely entertaining. I hope the BBC will repeat this again soon. The BBC has such a wonderful range of radio shows and it's so great being able to listen to them outside the UK. Saves me having to put up with the local rubbish.

And in other news, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time at the Cottesloe/NationalTheatre is fast selling out, so get your tickets early. I know that a lot of the good seats have gone, for now (always the possibility of returns), but given that the Cotteloe is a small studio only with maximum capacity of 300, you should be able to get a good view of the stage wherever you sit. I am hopeful for a longer season, in due course, and a transfer to a bigger venue. Smile

The performance of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time" at the National Theatre on Thursday, 6 September 2012 will be filmed as a NT Live event. This means that the play can be viewed at a participating cinema in a number of cities around the world at a later date. Keep checking back on this National Theatre webpage from time to time for details of cities where a showing of this play is scheduled.

This is such an exciting project for Nicola to be involved in. Fans who won't be able to travel to London to watch the play live will be able to catch a screening, if they're lucky enough to live in one of the participating cities! Yahoo
