What I don't understand is the star relating to 8 years in prison - fair enough the cupolas, you just get one more added each year. But Lucas didn't know he was getting released after 8 years so why would he commit to an 8 pointed star - unless he got it done in the car on the way to London.....

Exactly, I much prefer you interpretation of a star from your earlier post about knightly values. It can't possibly relate to years in prison because it can not be added to. There are lots of explanations to stars on the web, Lucas' star looks like a compass star used by sailors but haven't had time to look into it.

Just found these meanings on the web:

Sailing Ship - Thirst for freedom. This means that the wearer is willing come along with an escape plan. Anyone planning an escape will know that the wearer will be keen to be a part of it.

Stars have 2 meanings;
1-Vor v zakone.Đ•lite of russian criminal world.
2-Otritsala. Who not working for administration of prison and does not comply with their laws.
(sorry about the grammar, just copied straight from the site !)

Don't think Lucas is an elite of the Russian criminal world, but more likely not to conform to the rules.

That fits with Blake's poetry.

Bit risky to wear the ship one then - surely would make you a target for extra torture!

His interrogators would have known who he was, but I doubt other prisoners would have. One of the reasons for getting them in the first place.

You guys want an episode on how he got them, don't you?

Is it that obvious? (blush) I think there are a fair few of us who want more background info on Lucas.

Oh yes, yes, yes, please. Can you arrange that? You'd be the bestest Santa ever Big Grin

Yes, it would be interesting to know how he got them. I don't think they were drawn all at once so maybe in flashbacks or Lucas telling the story behind each of them.
Although I'm not so sure it could be possible unless they'd manage to mix his tattos with a subplot otherwise Spooks fans won't be as entertained as we Spooks/RA fans will. Big Grin

I would love to know who sold him out, I know Connie said she did it but I have the feelings that was a lie or maybe half a lie, as to give him some peace.

Yes We want an episode all about his tattoos !!!
I had hoped that he would have explained his tattoos to Sarah, surely she must have asked !
I am with you LNF, that I don't believe it was Connie but I think she probably knew who did.
