Spooks fic for a year - WB 30/11/09 - almh - 30-11-2009 06:20 PM
Ok, this my sixth one in the 'series'. The last one isn't posted on here, as it was getting a bit too much RH fic written by me on here
So here is a non RH one for Nitrus 
If anyone does want to read the fifth one and any others that aren't uploaded on here, there's a link to them on my profile.For anyone who hasn't read any of the previous ones, I am doing a challenge to write a piece of Spooks fiction every week for a year FYI.

"I'll never tell you." He watched his former boss smile. Malcolm quickly walked away, afraid he might weaken. If he didn't leave now, chances were he never would. He picked up his coat and walked to the doors - then stopped. He turned to see the Grid for one last time. He saw Ros, Jo and Lucas talking contentedly to each other - for them it was just another operation with a successful conclusion. For others the word 'success' would never and could never be used to describe the last few days. The hearts of two of his closest friends had been broken, perhaps irreparably. Only time would tell. He turned back to the door.
He walked off the Grid, out of Thames House for probably the last time. Standing outside, he paused. This was it. No going back. No more missed weekends, no more stress. No more anything. And he smiled.
Happily he stepped forwards down the steps and onto the pavement, taking out his phone on the way and called the most important person to him in the world.
"Hello? It's Malcolm, how are you? - I'm fine thank you. I was just calling to say I've retired, and to ask what you thought about moving to Brighton? - No, I'm certain. - I'll start looking at houses down there then." He paused. "I love you too mother."
And for that moment, life was perfect for Malcolm Wynn-Jones.

Aaaww! Malcolm with his Mum!!!! I am so glad he got his happy ending
BTW I have been reading through these and they are all SO good!! YOu must have such amaazing imagination

Malcolm is so cute!! He deserves a perfect life. (A pitty we wouldn't be able to meet Hugh in our small trip
