Peter Firth's usually pretty good when it comes to the big stuff, but his timing can sometimes be off. So I reckon this is true, but they probably don't start filming until March

Did she also tell them that she would be in S9? Although I'm guessing (hoping!) that she wouldn't have bothered to mention it unless that was the case.
