I really wish for no more bulls**t romance relationships on spooks. I really wish the producers would quit ramming this stuff down our throats.
I also wish for more officers on the grid. Hopefully a more diverse cast.
I also wish for the episodes to be less about the MI5 officers and more about a particular subject (like episode 7).
And lastly, I hope Ros stays!!

Wish list, in order of priority:
-Significant movement in the H/R relationship.
-Additional people on the grid, both agents and support staff.
-Eps dealing with China as a new world power, North Korea and its nuclear capability, difficulties of the EU as a unified region (immigration/emigration, balance of power between member countries, economic balance/imbalance,etc).

More people on the Grid so my mum doesn't keep telling me that no one will die because they can't spare anyone.

I may add to this after seeing episode 8 -
1) More desk and field officers (I know its been said already.)
2) Ruth to get something wrong once in a while.
3) More action Harry like series 6/7. We miss him out there!
4) Damian Lewis to guest star in an episode (will keep me and lwhite53 happy anyway.)
5) More scenes in Freemasons Hall.
6) Reduced number of close up shots and shooting through glass. Just film normally! We don't mind, really we dont.
7) Real Americans if we have to have them.
8) Continued filming in London. Its the blinking capital!
9) Information as to the whereabouts of Scarlet and Fidget.
10) More smiles and jokes. Its been a bit of a sad year for section D.
11) Harry and Ruth waking up together (not in a lockdown situation.)
Oooh forgot, Harry to have the top two buttons of his white shirt open all through the series.

and develop Tariq's character a bit....he's really interesting!

1. More conference room scenes.
2. The team to operate as a real team, and less domination of storylines by one or two characters.
3. More humour - it can be done without lessening the impact of the serious storylines, just look back at seasons 3 & 4.
4. Less techno stuff and more real tradecraft.
5. More of Harry being annoyed by politicians and other branches of the security services.
6. Progress with the Harry/Ruth relationship, specifically getting back the playful aspect thereof.
7. Less focus on action scenes, and more on fleshing out the stories & characters properly.

- A long series! (My dad asked me on Friday if I was going to watch Spooks on BBC3, so me and my mum explained that the last and first episodes weren't shown on BBC3, and he pointed out it had been a very short series. But not as short as series 1...)
