I haven't seen it and I haven't been a fan that long but I have seen it mentioned a couple of times already. LNF ![]() RE: Fryer Voted Top "Spooks" Death - nothingisasitseems - 11-01-2010 12:31 PM Yes, it was shocking but I suppose the more so because we weren't really used to Spooks' ways then! Spoiler: show RE: Fryer Voted Top "Spooks" Death - lwhite53 - 11-01-2010 07:46 PM I think Helen's death is the one thing everyone knows about spooks, even those people who don't actually watch it, given all the press after the fact. That wouldn't be my first choice, though. Spoiler: show RE: Fryer Voted Top "Spooks" Death - almh - 13-01-2010 05:39 PM It definitely was one of the most shocking, but top Spooks death? There have been quite a few good deaths, as you previously mentioned, so it would be tight. RE: Fryer Voted Top "Spooks" Death - Kirayuki - 13-01-2010 06:57 PM I wouldn't say it was the top. It was shocking yes but there have been plenty of others i think were better as deaths... Series 3 Spoiler: show RE: Fryer Voted Top "Spooks" Death - Adam Carter - 18-01-2010 02:17 AM It's hard to top. It set the tone for the entire series, and made it clear that Spooks wasn't going to be conventional. RE: Fryer Voted Top "Spooks" Death - Skully - 27-02-2010 04:36 AM It was definitely shocking, but I think it was more shocking for those who were familiar with the actor (Lisa Faulkner) who played Helen Flynn. Being in Australia I had no idea who she was, I was not aware of her popularity. Apparently the fact that Spooks killed off a popular actress at such an early stage in the series contributed to the shock factor. Series 7 Spoiler: show RE: Fryer Voted Top "Spooks" Death - Nia M - 27-02-2010 01:31 PM For me, Spoiler: show Spoiler: show RE: Fryer Voted Top "Spooks" Death - JHyde - 27-02-2010 02:15 PM Yeah I get that. Especially if you were new. (sighs) It's always your first, isn't it? |
