I think Robert De Niro is the most famous person I've ever bumped into (standing at the bar waiting to be served, saying "you first", does not qualify as "meeting")...
I've met quite a few Irish bands and singers over the years, with Christy Moore, and drinking (and singing) with The Dubliners top of the fave list. And with "Die Toten Hosen"... I know friends and family who'd kill for that experience
Other than that - a few East German Olympic & World champions who happened to be friends of the family when I was a kid and didn't much care about them being famous.. and in World Cup 2006 summer I met Martin O'Neill (who joined us for a drink and a song in the pub), Lee Dixon, Alan Hansen, Mark Lawrenson and Gary Lineker. Missed out on Alan Shearer tho..

Neil's a very nice guy. He signed my American Gods hard cover and several of my wife's Sandman graphic novels. And then there's the poster. I'll have to post a pic of that.
I wish I'd taken more pictures of/with those people.

I, along with quite a few others from another RA forum, went to the tv baftas last year and watched the celebs walk the red carpet. I got to speak to Richard Armitage
Peter Firth, michael macintyre, rob brydon, ant mcpartlin, jennifer saunders, Alan Carr amongst others, also saw Miranda Raison, Rupert Penry Jones and loads of others. it was a long day but well worth it.

I've had my photo taken with Christiano Ronaldo and got in a lift with Ryan Giggs! (Ok, that doesn't count as met him, I didn't even realise who he was until my parents told me later! He must have been so embarrassed - six of us in a lift, four wearing Man Utd t-shirts, probably thought we were going to bug him for autographs.) I'm afraid that I've never really spoken to anyone remotely famous, I get really nervous talking to them. I've spoken to Nick Briggs though (voice of the Daleks, Cybermen, etc) who is seriously cool. I have a Doctor Who book signed by him
(Just to prove how much of a Doctor Who neek I am!)
