It didn't. Our cable company did a major software update and it had dumped all of my scheduled recordings.

Laurence Belcher is definitely a great casting as young Kazren, and if you're interested to know, he will be appearing as a young Charles Xavier in the upcoming X-Men: First Class movie, which James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart will portray the older incarnations.

LOVE the Christmas Special!

I had heard that the reviews were too good, but that never stops me from watching a show and deciding it for myself, and in my opinion, it was wonderful! Feels like a classic traditional good ole' holiday story and just what I needed!

Brilliant acting all around and a great script, simple yet wonderful!Heart

I was looking up Matthew Graham's wiki page and found this today:

'He also confirmed that he would be returning to the world of Doctor Who in 2011, writing Episodes Five and Six of the sixth series, a two-part story entitled The Rebel Flesh and Gangers. Ashes to Ashes star Marshall Lancaster will also guest star in these episodes.' Something to look forward to, Marshall Lancaster was really capable of more than he was usually written in LOM and A2A. And Graham at his best is a great writer.

I really enjoyed the Christmas special of DW. After last years angst fest with David Tennant's departure it was good to get back to a Christmas theme. Loved the doctor's line that after 900 years of travelling time and space he had never met anybody who wasn't important.

From what I've read about the format of the new series of DW being filmed currently, they are splitting it into 2 sections with a massive cliffhanger at the end of the first section and section 2 will be shown next year. Does this mean that there won't be a Christmas special in 2011?

I thought that the Christmas special had some brilliant lines and concepts, but I didn't think the story held together very well. I never understood why there were fish in the atmosphere. It was a real shame that Amy and Rory had such small parts.

I had assumed that there would be a Christmas special in 2011, as it is such a big audience puller for the BBC, but I don't know for certain.

I have to say that Marshall Lancaster was excellent as Mr Perks in The Railway Children performed in the old Eurostar terminal at Waterloo station.

Aria, I'm pretty sure that it will all be shown in 2011.

Alex Kingston is apparently appearing in a couple of episodes of Private Practice (the Grey's Anatomy spin off) in the states over the next few months, so I think we can assume that her episodes of Who are filmed for the next season.

She also dropped a hint in an interview via Shonda Rhimes that she's in 4 episodes of Who this year. Rhimes is a massive Whovian, so it's not really surprising a few details were shared.

Aaaaand we have an air date! Doctor Who's new season will air on Saturday 23rd April. For those of you without a calendar, that's the Saturday of Easter weekend.

The truly amazing thing from my perspective is that will be no lag for US audiences! It will air in "real time" with the rest of the world on BBC America. That is a first....
