Introduction of Adam - Tranquility - 13-08-2009 11:50 AM

I think series 3 was Adam's best series. A good replacement for Tom, who I first thought was irreplaceable. He was cool and calm in all situations. Sad to see him go downhill in future series.

Yeh, he was a fantastic introduction... swaggered onto the Grid with his hot wife & cunning personality. lol.

I'm watching Series 5 again at the moment, and Adam is just starting to breakdown, it's not nice to watch. Sad

It's amazing in a way that Adam was chosen as Tom's replacement. They're just so different. Adam is the smooth operator and Tom made mistakes, but was a close colleague to Harry. With Adam breaking down, it made him a more realistic character.

I've been going over season 3 on dvd the past couple of days and I realized that i like Adam Carter more when his wife was around.

I feel that way to. His character was a lot more in control and, well, admirable in my eyes.

He was so different when he had Fiona yes...guess grief made him take more uncalculated risks..he always liked to push the boundaries a bit like Tom..perhaps it was the MI6 training Big Grin

I couldn't imagine a smoother job of introducing a new male lead, especially considering how great Tom's character was. Kudos to the writers!

Really? I guess the smoothness of his introduction was what put me off at first. It was a little too smooth. Tom fell apart pretty quickly and poof here's his replacement. Zoe and Danny didn't seem to have much as far as reservations about him either.

Hey, my first post but I have been lurking for a few days.

Adam's intro was smooth and personally, I thought the tramp scene and the scene when Adam enters the grid and Harry recites Shakespeare were over written. It was a big moment for the show and I think their nervousness showed a tad.

Zoe and Danny worked with Adam but that's normal professionalism but I don't think they took to him. It seemed very awkward. I really enjoy Series 3 in retrospect, it is one of the best series. But at the first time of watching the disconnect between Adam, Zoe and Danny made it uncomfortable in contrast to the very easy relationship between Tom, Zoe and David.

Welcome to the forum, Alpha One. You should go over to the new personnel section and introduce yourself.

I think one of the best parts of the introduction of Adam was him, Danny, and Zoe coming to terms with one another and becoming a team.
