Harry's like Batman (and other comic book mayhem) - bertowud - 13-08-2009 06:33 PM

Harry is almost the guy I expect Bruce Wayne to be if he ever hangs up the cowl. He's prepared for everything. He's almost always 5 steps ahead of everyone else. He's a genius.

The biggest difference is we know Harry can and will kill.
Oh, yeah, also, everyone else is at least a little bit scared of him.

haha Batman but yeah, he's pretty amazing. He's ruthless, strong, scary, forgiving (Ros), clever, has an AMAZING sense of humor and fatherly all at the same time. Fantastic character Smile

Yep! Batman.

Bwah! Definitely, like Batman, he is only human but seems to everyone around him to be a bit of a super-human... And of course, no-one can use the English language quite as scathingly as Harry can.

Now if only we can get the Joker quote about Batman: "Where does he get all those wonderful toys?!" worked into Spooks in some way...

To which the answer would have to be "Her Majesty's Government".

From the Who Will Be Killed Thread:

Question 11 provides further confirmation Harry is like Batman.

Be warned if you read the article, there are spoilers.

I think Silktie may have it on something with the Joker quote, what about a nemesis for Harry? Someone like Holmes's Moriarty, an arch baddy who always just manages to elude capture and is just as ruthless, intelligent and "can use the English language quite as scathingly as Harry can." (Sorry Silktie, nicked another bit of your postBlush). I would suggest that he/she is English, I mean no one would stir the great mans ire like a traitor, public school education of course, scathing sarcasim in classical greek or latin, how Cool. Our nemesis could pop up in numerous episodes as the orchestrator of various dastardly schemes to bring Blighty to its knees and other heinous plots of the same ilk.

Best. Thread name. Ever.

But even in the comics, I'm not sure that Batman or Bruce ever had the sense of humour Harry does.

And the answer to an English, clever nemesis for Batman? Why, The Riddler played by David Tennant in his London accent of course!

Definitely! David Tennant against Peter Firth Big Grin Thud
