Hello InfoPioneer.

*waves* Smile

You can call me Jo if you like!

I'm more a Miranda fan than a Spooks fan - but purely because I never got round to watching Spooks properly, though what I saw I liked. I know I should remedy that, it's getting the time!

Miranda was great in Doctor Who, despite it being a poor (double) episode, that wasn't her fault!

I voted for Hedy Lamarr. I recognised her face from the golden days of hollywood but not her name and I certainly had no idea she was involved in inventing such a "thing." Shame no-one followed her invention up until many years later. I guess it was not the sort of thing done by an actress and certainly not a WOMAN at that time. She got my vote. Nice to learn about something new and interesting from the internet for a change. Smile

It's interesting to see who you all voted for Smile Turing and Lamarr seem to be vying for top spot leaving the other pioneers miles behind! And yes, I agree! It's not often you learn something so interesting: I certainly didn't know about Hedy's achievements before I started on this campaign!
