New Year's Eve - what's it like for you?

Still got 7 hours to go before we reach it here in SA. It's hot as hell, and the clouds are building up, so we may welcome it with a spectacular thunderstorm.

Off to a friend's house in a few hours to celebrate there. We probably won't stay until after midnight, though. People here tend to get really irresponsible about driving drunk, and by staging their own fireworks shows in the backyard. So we'll try to be home before all that happens to ensure we get back alive, and in time to prevent some idiot in the neighbourhood from burning down our house or blowing up our dogs.
