The atmosphere is very dark, and it's all very well crafted. The cameos are all extremely well done. The George Smiley character is top notch. Kathy Burke is also superb, although she wasn't in it enough for me. Benedict Cumberbatch is great, get's it just right. Colin Firth was disappointing though (reckon he's there for the name). You, tease, you! I have to wait until December. But seriously, thank you for your review. Connie Sachs isn't in the book enough either but what there is there is just *dee-lish*! I was thrilled to hear that Kathy Burke was coming out of acting "retirement" to do it. Interesting about CF. I am only a marginal fan. I have only liked about 50% of his work. I will say that when he is good, he is very, very good. But everything has to align perfectly for him to get there. IMO, of course. Unlike PF. Who can make brilliance of out complete dross. But I'm a little biased. And thank you for amusing me while I await my turn to watch 10.1. Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks]; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. ~Wm.
