There are at least two museums dedicated to butter: one in Cork, Republic of Ireland: http://corkbutter.museum/ and one in Maslovice, Czech Republic: http://www.virtualtravelglobe.com/czech-...ovice.html which genuinely does include a full nativity scene made from butter. But only if you visit in December or January, so you'll have to get a move on!

Baking day!

Brownies, sugar cookies and Toll House cookies for the party tonight are done. Taking a SF break before I move on to the banana bread and two kinds of muffins for what will probably be, thanks to the children, a ridiculously early morning tomorrow!

Have a happy day, holiday and week!

Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks];
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

I had a wonderful Christmas. It was a sweltering hot day here. In the end we did the traditional roast, and had both lamb and pork, with roasted potatoes and assorted other veggies and salads. I was also highly impressed with the ingenious presents everyone came up with - it's not easy to get decent presents inside the price limit we set ourselves!

Hope everyone else had a wonderful day too.

Necessity is the mother of invention, eh, Silktie? My sister is ingenious at hand made gifts especially. When I try that, they only rarely come out as I intend.

And speaking of gifts, I love my husband! Spooks Series 2, 3, 4 AND 5 DVDs! After my happy response upon opening them, the husband turned to the children and said, "Say good-by to your mother, children!" I forced myself to be a good mom and waited until they went to bed to watch the S2 extras.Yahoo

Tomorrow we will pile in the car and try to beat the snow blizzard coming our way as we start our annual 600 mile drive to my mothers house in Indiana.

Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks];
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

So, Christmas is over in Spain. Yesterday was the Three Wise Kings day, when we get presents (some kids gets them the 25th as well). We (my family) have hot cocoa and "churros" (it's a fried dough) and a typical cake "Roscón de Reyes" that for breakfast!! And then we open our presents. My grannies were so excited about their presents!! It's nice to see them like that for once! haha

All sounds yummy. I am inspired to make Snickerdoodles now from my American baking book! They are our favourite and I only started making them because they sounded so interesting!
