I'm certainly going to be watching, I had the day off booked months ago! I've been avoiding most of the run up to it over the last week, so that it all seems fresh tomorrow. But I'm looking forward to all the punditry on everything from shoes, hats and frocks to the discussion about who's on the guest list. I love all the pomp and ceremony. Sad, eh?

I'll watch part of it if I'm up. And YES, it's a huge deal here in the U.S., for the media at least. It seems every news station and morning show has a huge crew stationed on every London street corner. I honestly wouldn't have given it a second thought if they weren't always in my face with it. But I have to admit it will be fun to see what everyone is wearing. And I think they make a great couple and I'm very happy for them.

There were some extraordinary polling numbers coming out of the US about interest in the wedding. I think that in some ways it's even stronger than in the colonies.

My attitude is that everyone loves a wedding and I think that's why people are excited, even if they're republicans.

Loved today. Made me so proud to be British, the pomp and ceromony, the carriages, the trumpets. Just loved it all. William and Kate looked so in love at the altar. I have to admit that I shed a few tears as Kate and her Father travelled to the church, reminded me of me and my Dad on my big day. Who didn't love the singing of Jerusalem?

I have joyfully avoided all coverage of all this nonsense, being an arch republican and all. I spent the day in Bristol and Bath, which was really nice. Lots of other people out and about, avoiding the wedding, too.

Despite that, my invitation (which I politely declined) was addressed to Lady Mary Pancho-Mollens.

This game was also used, with a slight variation, before the last general election to generate one's Tory candidate name! For that version, it was same-sex grandparent's first name, first school - hyphen - first street. For that, I was Mary Whitmore-Mollens. And I think I got elected somewhere in Cambridgeshire but have yet to take my seat!

I watched the highlights last night, and am rather envious of the rich tradition Britain has. When you live in a country whose history is much younger like I do, all that pomp and ceremony is quite wonderful to watch.

Good thing I wasn't invited though; not sure I could have pulled of one of those strange hats that most of the women seemed to favour.

The men looked smashing in their morning suits though. Methinks Sir Harry would also look fantastic in one of those. Not to mention Dimitri... Fingers crossed we get to see the team, all dressed up for the Royal wedding next season!

Silktie, I suspect your country does have a rich tradition and a long history...and the British Empire came along and stomped all over it, probably.

But back to the weddin' thing...although I tried my very hardest to avoid anything to do with it, I did see that Harry made some aside to Wills in the abbey and people are wondering what he said. Anyone lip read?
