Then they tried to keep the flame going with that awful spinoff about all of them when they got back to the states. I can't even remember the name of it. Trapper John, MD? RE: [Spoilers] Great TV Show Endings - bertowud - 20-11-2009 02:39 PM No. Trapper John was technically a spin off of the movie for legal and royalty reasons. It was a good show from what I remember of it. There was a series on for maybe one season that had Hawkeye and Colonel Potter and a few other characters settling into life back in the States. It was bad. Of course I was only 9 or 10 when it was on. RE: [Spoilers] Great TV Show Endings - JHyde - 20-11-2009 02:45 PM I think it also had Jamie Farr in it. RE: [Spoilers] Great TV Show Endings - bertowud - 20-11-2009 02:54 PM OK, I cheated. It was called After MASH. How cheesy is that? Yeah, Jamie Farr was in it. Actually, I think Hawkeye only made a few guest appearances. JHyde, give me a warning for driving this thread so far off topic. And let's get back on topic. RE: [Spoilers] Great TV Show Endings - JHyde - 20-11-2009 03:17 PM I must admit I loved how The Office wrapped up with its Christmas special (I love a Christmas special! The best of being British). I still tear up a little bit when Dawn unwraps her pencils from Tim, and I love that Brent told Finch where to stick it. And my run of bad puns continues - "wrapped up". I swear, I don't even know I'm doing it half the time. No I didn't, to tell the truth, I couldn't, I've seen half episode 1, and some more sequences, but I loved LOM UK and watching the same scene with different actors was very weird, I loved the original ones: John Simm, Liz White, Phil Glenister... It was odd to watch blonde Annie... They did a spanish version too, but couldn't watch it either! ![]() But I did see the ending in YT, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm reading small bits of this thread carefully, just in case... so Should I have to add The Shield to my list? A lot of work to do (watch)!! ![]() RE: [Spoilers] Great TV Show Endings - bertowud - 20-11-2009 04:02 PM (20-11-2009 03:59 PM)Beatriz Wrote: I'm reading small bits of this thread carefully, just in case... so Should I have to add The Shield to my list? A lot of work to do (watch)!! Yes watch The Shield, but I will warn you, The Shield is a dark show. RE: [Spoilers] Great TV Show Endings - Nitrus - 20-11-2009 04:42 PM The ending to Life on Mars if noone else has mentioned it. Beautiful. I think that one goes down as Most Unexpected ending for me. Loved it though. Spoiler: show RE: [Spoilers] Great TV Show Endings - Beatriz - 20-11-2009 05:10 PM I think it was the best way to end LOM, yes, it's sad to Spoiler: show |
