Lucas is a brilliant addition so many layers to a man you just want them to reveal more, he seems complicated but also you can read him and know what he is thinking. Of course I AM HUGE ARMITAGE FAN so may be a little biased but he adds something to the show I have been rewatching series 7 again and he just can steal a scene with a look to someone. I am hoping of getting under his skin a bit more even in series 9. And of course he is very pretty to look at of course and would like to see more of him with out any clothes. But there is so much we still don't know about Lucas which I think is a good thing because it brings me back every week to try and find out more and then rewatch trying to make sense of something he has said.

One of the things I like about all three male leads we've had on the show is that they are all very different: as actors and as characters. RA plays the enigma that is Lucas North very well, it suits him and his style/method really well.

Honestly, I think casting him was a master stroke for season 7.

I don't think he wounhave worked as well if Adam was sill around

Well, it's not like you can have more than one alpha dog at a time.

Then again - Ros is around and she's an alpha dog if there ever was one.....

Come to think of it - can you imagine if Tom had ever met Ros? HAHAHAHAHAHA....

OK, back on topic. My fault.

Lucas was a slow burn for me. As close to a slow burn as you can get when you watch all of season 7 over one weekend, but whatever.

Well I don't know, I actually thought that Adam and Lucas, from the few scenes we got of them in 7.1, made a pretty solid team. I kinda wished that Adam didn't go, I really liked seeing those two boys together, they had a nice dynamic with great potential. Could have very well became good friends.

I agree with BravoNine - I think TPTB missed an opportunity there with Adam and Lucas. The scene I particularly remember is when they're walking down the corridor and Lucas says "Is it bad?" and Adam replies "When is it not?"

I really love that little exchange between them Smile
