He would only be involved in a project that portrayed him in a light that reflected the archives of his own time, rather than from the times of the enemy that overthrew him or the ludicrous Shakespearian version. RA has been keen on this project for years, and if he could get it right and find it a wide enough audience, he could do his namesake a lot of good and make his dad very proud.

Keeping my fingers very much crossed for this.

One great book about Richard III that portrays him in a good light is Sunne of Splendour by Sharon Penman. It's a fabulous read. I would love to see a drama based on that book, especially if RA was in it!

I think you can just about spy RA looking very beardy in these press photos for "The Hobbit"...

And a couple of other snaps I've come across:

There's such a wonderful cast working on this film!

Nice detective work Smile

Have you been out and about with your insanely complex and overtly conspicuous (yet strangely unnoticed) camera? Wink

When, oh when, will the bitterness end?!

Thanks for the book recommend, Naivety.

Thanks for posting the photos Byatil. Not sure I like the beard though, but I guess that is what dwarfs have!

RE: [spoilers] Richard Armitage 2.0 - Byatil - 11-02-2011 12:04 PM

I found a video with his clips from the conference where he said he's "still experimenting with the facial hair" Wink Click!

I think the beard suits him! (But that can be because there's something wrong with me Wink)
Thank you Byatil, for sharing these with us who aren't as skilled as detectives!

Thorin's supposed to have a very long beard...can't wait to see that! He looks great, doesn't he?

In the book the dwarves also do lots of singing, so just hoping that RA gets to sing!

Changing the topic a little, there's an RA-fest coming up on Australian TV (ABC1). Strike Back starts on March 12 at 8:30PM, looks like episodes 1&2, then 3&4 the following week, then Spooks 9 starts on April 2 at 8:30PM (ABC1).

Looks like some Saturday nights IN for a few weeks Big Grin
