Right. I feel a bit depressed typing this and I really hope I miss heard but I waited for NW outside Seasons Greetings tonight and a group of youngish girls jumped on her. NW said they were friends, perhaps NOGs or spookies. Anyway as I was waiting for a photo, I over heard NW exclaim something like "god, there's only going to be 6, not 8."

Now I really wasn't listening to what she was saying before but I think they were discussing Spooks as they were talking about Harry and Ruth.

Now I'm so so hoping I am wrong here. Unfortunately Mr TL heard her say those words as well.

Sorry guys. Perhaps one of her friends will post here or on another forum to confirm what she said. Sad Sad

WOW!!!! Lucky you, TL!!! I'm green with envy!!! Could we have a pic of her? Rolleyes

Sadly that could be true, economy is not in its best moment, and the BBC can have made that decision... Sad

Yes, I can see the BBC doing that too. If Mr TL hadn't heard it as well, I don't think I would have believed my ears. I still hope I am wrong though.

Only six episodes would be really sad. But then again, it's still better than nothing...

I do hope, though, that if we have only six, they don't waste time on another Nightingale or Yalta type storyline, and spend the little time they have on good solid episodic stories. Six episodes is really too few to flesh out a through-running storyline sufficiently to make it gripping, methinks.

Awesome that you got a photo, TL! How about some more info on meeting her in the NW thread? As well as your review of the play?

RE: Series 10 Filming & Behind the Scenes - Forever Secret - 30-12-2010 04:11 PM

I think it's probably true that the shows being cut to Six episodes as the BBC are having cutbacks, the I think it awas mentioned budgeting was being cut Wink It was already being cut when Ashes to Ashes was being finished, the last series had less budget than the previous 2 Wink
But six is better than none... it could be like the first Series 6 episodes each one brilliant, and if it's only 6 episodes it could mean a Series 11 would be commisioned too,
But you're right with only 6 episodes I don't think they would have time to make a through storyline like Nightingale, Yalta or Sugarhorse, which could be the reason they set up the whole "investigation into Harry" thing at the end of S9, so the through storyline would be the investigation and it wouldn't need to be set up at the start of S10 Smile

Hope it's not true but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Wink
That's so awesome TL that you met NW! saw that pic in the NW thread haha Big Grin Awesome Wink

I really hope we get 8 eps not 6

RE: Series 10 Filming & Behind the Scenes - Forever Secret - 31-12-2010 03:14 PM

Me too, Wink
Guess we'll just have to wait to find out, 8 Episodes I think is enough, 6 not so much, those extra 2 episodes can make such a difference Smile

Pity that it might not be 8, but six episodes is better than NONE!

Disappointed that there might only be six episodes but, as others have already said, its better than none at all.
