Episode idea:

How about another episode where there is a private security firm working on the same job as them and they are causing havoc for the team. (Think Tessa's job).

I just think this would be interesting.

Or maybe even having an innocent child hack into the system. We haven't had this yet and it is always an interesting scenario. America don't handle it well. (Maybe the kid could be english and hack into American services whilst MI-5 try to save the skills and keep the kid safe from the CIA).

I'm pretty sure a child has done this before and the consequences weren't good despite his innocence. I believe he was high level Autistic?

Plenty of hacker kids have try hacking into government systems before, plenty did it on the Pentagon.

What more likely happens is that the CIA swoops down, takes the kid and basically recruits/keeps them so the agency can use his or her skills and talents.

That could be an interesting storyline, bringing children into the dark world of Spooks could be very intriguing indeed.

Great idea! And I've seen exactly that in the last couple of days. Can't remember which country it was...not sure it wasn't here in Oz (apologies if I'm wrong). And yes, when the student served "some time," the intelligence authorities were going to recruit him.

i'd quite like some closure on nightingale because it's a bit like they blew the hotel up and now they're still around but no ones mentioned them or done anything about it???

This is a very crazy idea, and it won't happen, but I'd love to see it because I'm weird like that: Let's say that "Lucas" didn't jump to his death, and is still on the loose as Johnny B Awful. And he wants revenge! Harry is already deep in the poo, and can't risk the government finding out that in addition to giving up a supposed state secret, he's also managed to lose one of Britain's most wanted terrorists. As we know, it will be near impossible to find JB unless he wants to be found, because he can apparently conjure cars and technical equipment from out of thin air, and now he's got a truckload of money to spend as well. Looks like our friends will need a bit of help, eh?

Now, let's stretch credibility a little further, and say that a certain Oleg Darshavin is somehow still alive, and that MI-5 somehow manages to get their hands on him. They force him into helping them track down JB. Oleg has an epic reaction to finding out that the man he thought he knew so well was someone else all the time, and that he sucks at interrogation. Still, he knows "Lucas" better than most people, and manage to find him. JB flips at an unnatural angle upon seeing Oleg, but the two of them have a conversation where Oleg tries to bring him around by talking about Charles Dickens or something. (Not Blake, too personal to "Lucas". It would likely get a negative reaction.) JB then manages to get away once again, and they pursue him through and out of London in a reckless, dangerous chase that will go down in history as one of the best ever. They reach his secret lair, where Oleg is killed by an electrified trap, set up especially for him. Harry and JB have their long awaited talk while pointing guns at each other. It ends with JB trying to shoot himself, but the gun misfires, and he's brought in. The ending leaves some doubt as to whether he really is JB, or if he was somehow programmed to think so.

Love it to bits, Annie! Sent it to Kudos. God knows, these people need some help with a decent plot, and it'd save their necks after S9.

With the closures of many RAF airfields in England, a fair many planes are left on the grounds - a group breaks into several fields, not to take the planes themselves, but the armaments to threaten widespread destruction.

Section D gets moved into a new building after several reports of plots against Thames House - an offsite location is prepped as people break into the Grid, only to get trapped there with no access to anything (thanks to Tariq / Malcolm!). CO19 and SO6 take out the intruders whilst destroying the Grid.

The new Spooks get put to the test as they are subjected to their own EERIE exercise at Heathrow while following a lead on what they believe to be a threat against the airport.

I like that idea, Jhokur.

I've always wanted to see a plane hijacking feature in an episode of Spooks. If the plane is held on the ground at one of Britain's airports, it would definitely be within MI5's remit to handle it.

Crazy idea warning...
Harry is in front of the investigation panel when Lucas walks-in to prove that the whole Albany file thing was a test by Human Resources to prove that Harry was a 'People Person' and protective towards his staff (a bit like the EERIE episode). Harry obviously passed the test and everyone goes back to work as normal.

Sounds good! Forgive me, but which was the EERIE episode?
