She knew that Adam was using her so makes you wonder why she kept dealing with him. Clearly like Ros said she didn't know anything, but it makes you wonder why Adam continued to see her.... Dodgy

She did give them information (eg about the triggers) and she knew what was happening inside the Embassy (her husband's meetings etc). Unfortunately when she gave them information, it went to YALTA via Ros and they neutralised it. I think Adam knew she had value because they had no means of getting intel from anywhere else. Ros said she didn't know anything because she wanted her out of Adam's life.

Clearly he didn't and that's what drove her....partly Dodgy

Didn't care much for her. At all.

RE: Anna - Kazters - 27-06-2010 04:12 PM

i struggle to see the point! i mean adam seemed to choose her over ros to me, but also he was getting something from her that he needed, i cant decide if he actualy cared for her or was just doing his job. that said i think that might haev changed after she drugged him (mmmm that whole scene is lovely for RPJ fans)

I think Anna was more used as a plot device, less of someone we were supposed to care about. I think they made her attached to Adam because it was a good way of showing how a spook uses people and their feelings to achieve their means. Except, of course, Adam ended up liking her too. Or at least felt attached, in an almost obsessive, self destructive way.

adam self destructive never ;-)

Agreed. I think that by that point Adam's already tenuous ability to connect with human beings on an individual basis was nil. The Anna character is a different spin on the Everyman character device Spooks tends to do so well, but this one was not an unknowing participant. Anna brought it all on herself. She did what she did for the excitement and no other reason. Adam knew that too. I found her annoying like I find Flaubert's Emma Bovary annoying: its not the artistry that annoys me, I thought she was well acted, its the character and the choices they make that I don't like!

Nice comparison. I feel exactly the same way!
