Yeh, I really enjoy it, you would need some programming background, otherwise you will struggle.

Well, because I agree with your dad, he sounds pretty smart to me. Seriously, there's no substitute for physicists. Think of all the cool places you could work.
OK, I'll stop hijacking the thread now. To get us back on topic, and hopefully invite all these new people to introduce themselves: every time the temperature in Sydney goes up above 30 degrees celscius, I seriously re-make my plans anew to move to Canada.

I have post-grad degrees in International Politics and Environmental Management. The Environmental Management was really cool and interesting - and a good career choice in the current climate (excuse the pun), almh...
Maybe you can combine it with the physics and save the world!

How would that work? Never heard the saying that "biology's messy, chemistry stinks, and physics never works."
Something else you don't know... I love playing the Sims but I can't any more because it crashed my computer
(Had to get the hard drive replaced)

hahaha me too! A friend of mine lend me The Sims 3 but I was very disapointed because I couldn't play because my graphic card is incompatible (too old I think)
I think is better this way or I wouldn't study at all
