Something I forgot to mention earlier; I found it amusing how they portrayed the American hostage as a blubbering wreck during the mock-trial, whilst the British hostage went to his fate with quiet dignity. A bit of payback for the many many times the villain in US blockbusters have been Brits, perhaps. Tongue

How do you mean? Fiona's death was also very sudden, but I thought the way it was handled in the episode made sense for the character. This, however, felt incredibly rushed and as someone mentioned earlier, futile.

Just that there were other ways Fiona could have trapped her ex. I don't want the thread to get mired down in comparing the two though.

I think the almost unrighteous way she died though is oddly appropriate, like Zaf or Colin or Ben dying the way they did. It taps into that thing that is almost the worst you can utter as an officer "sometimes I don't know why we bother".

Only just got round to watching this episode (the shame!) and I'm gutted about Jo's death.

As I was watching it, I said to my mum "Jo's been a bit quiet today" and also commented on how healthy and attractive she was looking...

ah well - that's why I love Spooks so much. You just never know who's next...

Yeah, a bit of originality never goes astray!

I can't believe they keep killing off characters. I mean they get the audience to really like a certain character then kill them off.

However, as long as the good storylines keep up i won't complain. (too much anyway)
