Yeah I think he was framed too.
I don't think they would have given him the magnificent shots of him adjusting his jacket/tie and walking out of his office if it was a fake set-up...

Also, I just don't see them having the home secretary killed off in Spooks yet. It's might be a bit too much of a big deal to cope with properly right now. (If you think of all the political implications that might have and the repercussions...)
Very good point, perhaps Ros dies after one or two chapters... but I'd like to see her in action at least once more...
As for the new HS, I think it is too early to kill him, he's rather famous and bring him to kill him off in two episodes... I don't think so... but you never know... it's Spooks...

And don't forget what happened to Helen! Lisa Faulkner was pretty well known and that didn't help her any.

Why isn't Lucas getting decommissioned? I mean, he's doing a Tom.

Yeah, if this had been earlier in the show's run, Lucas would have been gone by now. Harry has definitely mellowed out! I think he also feels an obligation to Lucas after L's 8 years in a Russian prison.

I wonder whether there is more to this story that has yet to be revealed. It just seemed to take Harry a long time to get Lucas out. Whether the writers will extend this Russian storyline into another series though, I'm not so sure. Harry does feel guilty though.

We might get some flashbacks in s9 that tell more of the story but I think the Russian storyline is done, for the moment, unless Nightingale takes us back there.
