Oh My!!! This episode was definitely tense!! I was with my hand on my mouth most of the time!

Just a quick comment (I must leave), I agree with most of you.

Great to have smiling faces, they need that, we need that.

Love Tariq and Ruth together, the moment they shared when Tariq told her about his cousin was very sweet, I think it's like mother-son relationship, nothing romantic...

When Harry send Ruth out of the Grid, I was: Yay! At last some action for her!

HR scenes, I agree, they were a bit rushed, but definitely aawww. Tears in the wind and Ruth holding Harry's arm, and he looked her up and down Big Grin

I liked Ros in this episode, she was great, and:
Christine 2.0: Ros Myers
Ros: The feeling is mutual
LOL I do think she's not dead and she made it (hopefully!)

As for the HS, I thought he was innocent, even more when Ruth said it; I'm falling for him Blush Sooo cute Tongue

Maybe a Harry without Ruth would have rushed into the hotel, even if it was fruitless. Perhaps he has something to live for now.

Yes perhaps the young Harry would have done it but it was useless, he's head of section D, too worthless and there's Ruth, yes Rolleyes

I'm still disappointed in Lucas, even though Sarah is trying to manipulate him to the bitter end he still appears to have a soft spot for her. It's like he was hoping that he would be able to turn her back to the good side despite all the evidence to the contrary.

I was a bit disappointed about Lucas in that way too, I didn't quite get his feelings for her... She disgusts her but... she still cares about her... Huh

Harry was too busy getting the Pakistani President back on his feet and before the cameras in order to prevent nucleur war, so he didn't have time to save Ros as well. Another instance of Harry having to choose the greater good over saving the individual?

And for the love of Pete, Harry, when has sending Ruth into the field ever ended well for her? Please don't ever do it again!

Good point! They kept showing the clock and there was a minute or less. I was saying HURRY UP! That whole process was very well done, from the meeting of the Pakistani prez and HS to the attempted evacuation (the killing of the guard upset me and he only had a minute or so of screen time--"These people are under my protection"), to the rescue of the PPrez etc, so so very well done.

Agreeing with other comments, Ros in the hallway with the HS was amazing and yes, he is rather attractive, ahem. I doubted him from almost the first split second he appeared. How the writing team can fool me. Keep up the good work.

About the blast, I think they make a point of showing the location and volume (wanted to use the word perimeter but not sure it's correct here) of each blast so we can guess if someone made it or not. I expected the whole hotel to explode so seeing the partial made an impression. Maybe there is still hope for Ros and HS, as someone pointed out.

This was a great episode which I must watch again, there was so much in it ! Please let Ros survive....never liked her before this season but she has been brilliant and her and Lucas are a great team to lead section D.

Sadly, that is true. Let Ruth stay on the Grid Harry!!! Don't make her leave!!! Wink

RE: Episode 8 Discussion - YourFutureMuse - 24-12-2009 07:44 PM

Haha but I love to see Ruth out of the grid Big Grin We'll see an action hero made of her yet Tongue

RE: Episode 8 Discussion - almh - 24-12-2009 07:46 PM

As long as it doesn't end up killing her! Confused Sad

RE: Episode 8 Discussion - YourFutureMuse - 24-12-2009 07:57 PM

Maybe if she wasn't killed, just in danger of being so it would encourage Harry to get his arse into gear though lol Tongue

RE: Episode 8 Discussion - almh - 24-12-2009 07:58 PM

Don't use Ruth as bait to encourage Harry to get into gear! Leave poor Ruth alone!
