I was going to add where it came from but i ran out on the character limit.
It's from the added page in the updated version of 'The Personnel Files' under Ruth Evershed.
Harry's note in there says "This postcard reached me via a series of intermediaries. Please add to Ruth Evershed's file and close".
The note in my siggy is attached. I thought it was rather sweet and i'm glad they put something like this into the book.

Yeh, you should. It's little things like that which make me happy.
I'd love them to release a 3rd version for the new characters and her return.
I'd also like them to include Fiona Carter and Juliet Shaw. Why they aren't in it i really don't know.
They're rather important i think. (Well Fiona more than Juliet but still...)

I think I'm the resident classicist, so here goes.
I'm not sure if there is an error in the personnel files but the first quote should be
"salus populi suprema lex" which is Let the good of/best for the people be the ultimate law.
The second should be "Quos amor *verus* tenuit, tenebit" which is from a text I loved studying, it's Seneca and it means "Those whom true love has held, will continue to hold them still."
