It was a mistake to send out Jack in such a way. Huh

He's a great actor, Russell Tovey. I thought he was so good in that episode of Ashes to Ashes. I would love for him to join Torchwood. I am sorry to see Ianto go, but not as much as Tosh, whom I loved.

I thought Children of Earth was incredible, gutsy television and would prefer to think of it as Davies' legacy rather than those last few episodes of Who that he wrote. Who is about the best in people. Torchwood is about the hatefulness of being human and Gwen summarises that magnificently at the beginning of Day Five.

Oh yeah. Eve can get her roles very emotional.. lol

Yes, I think the storyline was incredible for Children of Earth, but it wasn't what I expected from Torchwood. With Torchwood I expect a few crazy aliens running around Earth being chased by the team, basically nonsense but highly entertaining. But Children of Earth was very serious and thought-provoking and frying the child at the end was disturbing.

Children of Earth showed how thought provoking scifi could be. I have always viewed torchwood as being aimed for an older audience than Doctor Who. Jack's dilemma at the end of CoE was like some of the Doctor's: sacrifice 1 person to save millions. The family connection for Jack was heartbreaking and I cried at the end.

Brilliant News Torchwood officially confirmed for season 4 with 10 episodes. Not sure about the American involvement and the worldwide locations though, what's wrong with Cardiff Tongue

It's supposed to be on Starz in the US. The Fox version is dead.

There are lots of reasons why it makes sense for them to abandon Wales for a bit, although I will also miss the location. RTD is based in LA for now and if he's showrunner, that makes life a lot easier for him. They will probably use a different crew for each location and I guess it ramps up the excitement factor for the show to travel the world a bit. It will make it hard in terms of a production schedule though, especially as episodes often film concurrently, if the first three series are anything to go by.

I feel a little sorry for Eve though. Her baby is still very young and that won't be easy, running all over the world with her. I'm sure they'll be accommodating.

I think it is a shame to move away from Cardiff. It was kind of 'homely' that Torchwood could just sit in Wales and all the aliens would come to them through the rift. I must admit to being suspicious when American money is put into a British show, just hope it doesn't becomes too glitzy.

Of course if he's in LA, how long before they're shooting in western Canada?
