Sorry, just being a bit thick, but what exactly is a closed set? Surely all filming sets are closed that are not outside in the middle of a city? Or is this something specific where there is tight security to prevent leaks to the press?

I think a closed set is when only the bare minimum of cast and crew are allowed, and no members of the public or press.
So yeah, probably really tight security and closed off areas.

There were photos up for a few hours the day before yesterday, I saw them. But they were gone a few hours later.

Got it in one and understandable with Spooks as the whole concept is built on dramatic suspense which would be ruined if storylines were leaked months before the programme was aired. Even a couple of photos of cast members could give something away. Personally I'm happy to wait and think it's great fun when we all have our different ideas on what might be going to happen during the months leading up to the new series. But Tea Lady can't wait to shout "Told you so! Yahoo"

LOL molecatcher. For all the H/R shippers lets hope so.

Thanks for the closed set info and I guess most of Spooks is filmed like that then. I really dont mind that there are no photos or that they have been removed. It makes the series far more enjoyable in the end.

I've known there to be photos or stills to be released from 'closed sets'. But they weren't usually released by the venue at which they were filmed.

Lincoln's Inn Fields & Britannia Street nearby are going to have filming taking place tomorrow but don't know whether this is Spooks or not. I think there is a chance it might be as that location has been used before.

Plus, both locations are not very far from Freemason's Hall.....

Thanks for the info Scarlet. When was the location been used before?

RE: SpooksWatch 2010 - Scarlet - 07-03-2010 09:04 PM

I believe the Royal College of Surgeons in Lincoln's Inn Fields was used as the Naval College (can't remember now which series/episode) and I think the bandstand in the gardens was used in Series 8 and before for some of the scenes where Lucas meets Sarah and Harry met Juliet for chats.

Interesting Scarlet. The Royal College of Surgeons was the place used as the MOD International Incident Briefing Centre at the start of 8.8. I guess that could be used again, as well as the park area. I have had a look at Britannia Street on google maps and it looks like a normal street with a mixture of flats, office buildings, and warehousing.
