Gene Hunt'isms:
"I could stick a shotgun up me arse, pull the trigger and they'd still miss." "You great, soft, cissy, girly, nancy, french bender Man United supporting poof!" "It's 1973. Almost dinner time. I'm having hoops." Sig & Av Guidelines | Rules | Spoiler Policy |

RE: Ashes to Ashes
I don't care much for Ashes to Ashes. I really enjoyed Life On Mars right up until the end.
To me the Gene Hunt in the episodes of Ashes to Ashes is almost Gene Hunt Lite. He seemed much edgier to me on LOM. I guess some of that is in reflecting the changing of the times. I just can't really see Gene Hunt reigning himself in. Keeley's character is pretty annoying. She's a fun actress and gorgeous. Part of the problem for me is the rehashing of the same theme and using some of the same characters is a bit weird. Always love your country, but never trust your government. |

RE: Ashes to Ashes
I absolutely, totally and utterly love Ashes to Ashes!!!!!!!!!! I love the actors, characters, stories, serious bits, humourous bits (which there are far too many to choose from!!) Everything is significant!!! plus Im an old romantic so just love the Galex.....more than once I have shouted at the screen, just wanting that kiss but knowing that if it happens it will change everything!!! My hubby things Im mad because I relate most things back to Ashes! It helps that the 80's was my fav decade especially the music, Im defo stuck in an 80's time warp right now lol!!! and it helps that Keeley is her usual stunningly beautiful self through both series! *squee*

RE: Ashes to Ashes
To be honest, I've only just started getting into Ashes to Ashes, I watched LoM and was an addict, so then I thought it wasn't going to be as good so didn't watch it. It's only recently when I stumbled across the DVDs for £9 (thanks to my wonderful brother) that I'd thought I'd give it a go. I'm now COMPLETELY hooked and I seriously can't wait for the next series!!!!

RE: Ashes to Ashes
I've seen LOM and now hooked on Ashes to Ashes, Gene Gennie is great!!!! Although I find it difficult to undertand him sometimes (I'm spanish, thank god for the subtitles )
We have to wait too much to see him in action again! |

RE: Ashes to Ashes
Hey aussie here. I loved Life On Mars. Ashes To Ashes is okay but would be good if Sam was to come back. Then again i am a fan of Tom so dont blame me.
