RE: Travel
I love travelling - I get very itchy feet if I don't have a holiday booked to look forward to (like now..) I think I'm quite a bit older than most of you, so I've had more opportunity to travel. We always have at least 2 holidays each year in the UK - we book a cottage somewhere & explore the area. Having been married 26 years now, that means I've seen a lot of the UK. It really annoys me when Brits just poo-poo the UK for holidays - it has a fantastic variety of places to see.
I have also seen quite a bit of Europe - only the Balkans has escaped me really, the USA, Canada, and quite a bit of Asia - Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar, China, Hong Kong (both before & since the handover) & the Philippines. I have also seen a bit of South America - I backpacked around Venezuela & down to the Amazon in northern Brazil. For our silver wedding anniversary, we took a trip from Lima in Peru across South America to Rio de Janeiro, taking in Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, La Paz, Buenos Aires & Iguassu Falls along the way. If you get the chance to go to Iguassu, jump at it, it is absolutely stunning!

RE: Travel
Tell you what, that would be something if we could get the locations of things that happened abroad as well as in London. I'm sure between all of us on this forum we can cover pretty much the whole world Tongue

DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered.

RE: Travel
I am actually really annoyed - my Dad made a big show of letting me pick my last family holiday with them and he's gone over my head whilst I was at school and booked for Crete Sad That wasn't even on my shortlist! I have nothing against Crete - have never been there but I had something else in mind Sad
Now I definitely have to organise an amazing holiday for my friends..Big Grin

As for the UK, I think we will end up as a family going to Northumberland, where we go like every year :/ I went to Suffolk for the first ever time last year and actually liked it (which is surprising for me as I usually adopt the usual mardy teenager act when forced to go anywhere with the fam lol I am awful Tongue) Although the weather was nice which makes a huge difference I think lol especially as we take the dog so can't usually go inside anywhere Angry
My favourite places to go in the UK are Edinborough, Bath, London, Northumberland and Cornwall. Big Grin.

Lucas North: Your situation is more precarious than you realize, Connie, so stop pressing buttons and give us something.
Connie James: Threats don't work with a person who has nothing to lose.
Lucas North: Oh, you're too ingenious to think that I'm threatening you. I'm offering you a simple choice: help us or don't. I'll leave you to compute the implication.Cool

RE: Travel
I want to see Spain soooooooo much! If I do end up going to England sometime late this year or in spring of next year (spring in the northern hemisphere) I want to see Spain properly. But my friend who's planning to go to Oxford doesn't want to do Spain so we'll probably end up doing Scotland and Wales together as well as London, which she knows quite well.
