RE: Travel
Yep, Marbella was a nightmare actually!!! And i didn't even see anyone famous either!! Mind you, it was about 20 years ago that I was there......Silba

Lucas North: Your situation is more precarious than you realize, Connie, so stop pressing buttons and give us something.
Connie James: Threats don't work with a person who has nothing to lose.
Lucas North: Oh, you're too ingenious to think that I'm threatening you. I'm offering you a simple choice: help us or don't. I'll leave you to compute the implication.Cool

RE: Travel
Smile I didn't specify, and I should have... Most of famous people in Marbella are Spanish (aswell as tacky and unpleasant celebrities (I can't find the exact word to describe them, those who think they are cool and elegant and wonderful and they are weirdos Tongue)) so I don't think you'd recognise them. Nowadays, I think there are some well-known celebrities with a house there, such as Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith...

Great to hear you're going to Greenwich.....that's where I got my degree in 2000 (as an adult student) Those scenes in s7 bring back some fond memories......as my tutor said to me.....Greenwich may be a comparatively new Uni, but the buildings are at least as good as any at Oxford!

I studied languages at school (french, german, russian and spanish, and have a smattering of modern greek....started mandarin but gave that up because it was too difficult.) so travelling/living abroad was important.

Born and raised in London, so have travelled extensively around UK although, strangely never to Scotland...a great sadness! In Europe, it would be quicker to list the countries I haven't been to.......Scandinavia and the Balkans really!

Have travelled widely in North Africa, Israel and the middle east. Also Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Now I live in Australia I've taken the opportunity of real cheap air travel and have explored 4 of the states/territories which leaves 3 to go. Touring New Zealand planned for this time next year. I really want to take trips to Vietnam, India and South America......

so many places, so little time.......

RE: Travel
My friends and I are going to either London or Amsterdam next April. I'll be asking a few questions when we decide it. I can't choose!! I'd love to London again for obvious reasons but I've never been to Amsterdam and I look forward to go there!!

I am debating on whether or not I should go to London or Paris in May. I think London because there was so much I didn't get a chance to see in London and England in general

RE: Travel
I would love to travel to Malaysia in autumn (but not during the time when Spooks is back). Lucasfan, have you ever travelled with AirAsia? Can it be recommended?

RE: Travel
Go to Amsterdam, Bea - that way we can do London together at some point!

Simone, I have a mate who regularly flies AirAsia and speaks very highly of it as an airline. Malaysia is somewhere they work in every other month of the year, and they're crazy about it. Underappreciated compared to other countries nearby.
