RE: Travel
Hi!!

I’ve been in Las Vegas and Anaheim…well Disneyworld California, Panama City, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Lisboa and Funchal. But I can’t wait to visit England, Africa, New Zeeland and Australia Tongue

And I noticed that only few wants to travel to Mexico. Well Mexico it’s really beautiful, if you want a beach there’s nothing better that Jalisco in my opinion, we have the famouse Puerto Vallarta. But if you really like a beach where you can swim or do some surf we have Boca de Iguanas beach and Tenacatita beach, the only problem with these two it’s that there’s only one or two hotels and there's nothing else, that's why Puerto Vallarta it's famous, you can find a lot of activities there, but in Boca de Iguanas and Tenacatita it's only the ocean.

But if you prefer the cities, Guadalajara, Guanajuato and Zacatecas are the best to travel Big Grin they have a lot of museum, monuments and you can learn a lot of the Mexican history.

RE: Travel
I want to see Mexico on the same trip I do Cuba. But I'm a little off Mexico with all the violent stories coming out of Mexico City. It's not just the Mexican mafia getting killed.....

RE: Travel
It sounds weird Mexican mafia Confused we never used that name.

Well yeah a few cities are dangerous like Ciudad Obregon and Monterrey, but not the whole country it’s like that. And sometimes the news exaggerates everything about the violence. But if you limited your visit to the central and east part of the country you should be fine.

RE: Travel
I'm partially kidding. I can't remember if I put Mexico down on my initial list when I started this thread, but I definitely intend to see a bit of Mexico when I do Cuba. As you say, the history of Mexico is really interesting. I worked in an authentic Mexican restaurant for more than two years so I also really dig the food. I know it doesn't sound like much, but authentic Mexican food is rare here.

Which is an interesting point actually. How many of you travel to a certain region or want to travel to a certain region for the food? Because for me it's huge.

Oh it's huge for me too. I can't understand people who travel to other countries and then only eat McDonalds. I'm a great believer in trying the local food and specialities, unless it's really weird. South America has great cuisine, really varied too.

RE: Travel
Food is definitely a great point when I travel. I love trying new food. I like to absorb as much culture as I can while travelling and food is one of the main parts of it.

RE: Travel
I agree about the food, although being veggie I have to be careful. That said, when I went to China, I was given the most amazing food that many meat-eaters refused to touch - like braised crocuses. Delicious!

I'm a really fussy eater so the local uisine isn't usually a reason for me to travel but something I have to dread lol. Having said that I do make a conscious effort to try new things.. unlike my little sister who goes to these amazing resataurants with amazing new foods and only eats chips!! Tssk haha
