I disagree, a scheme with the far reaching tentacles of Nightingale has not be neutered just because Russell Price cashed in his chips. Remember Harry arriving at the scene saying that they don't know who is who, ie who is bad CIA or good CIA (apologize for the blaring contradiction in terms.)

Nightingale has placed people in positions of power throughout the world and so far we only know a few of them. Any new character will be distrusted as we mostly distrusted the new HS and even Tariq, who I think has had the camera linger on him at crucial times, possibly setting him up as a mole. I'd say the lack of background works in any new character's favor at this point. And, needless to say, nobody is all good or all bad. They are on board with some things and get frightened when they get the drift of what they are aiding and abetting. Even Sarah was scared when certain things happened and she saw what little control she had over the situation she helped to bring about.

I even have some mistrust of Harry from several moments throughout the series.

So, all in all, plenty I disliked but the series did hang together in a somewhat pleasing way.
